The book presents the 2-semester-work of the architecture master course of Harry Gugger at the EPFL in Lausanne. The three-part structure of Barents Lessons allowed for three different layouts that consist of : Maps and graphics conceived and designed especially for this book visualize part one [Analysis], photographs document the field trip in part two [Trip], and numerous plans and images show the 13 architectural projects in part three [Projects]. Also included are:
A folded sea-map that functions as a dust jacket, a cutout index at the top of the book and 5 fold-out maps in the middle of the book.
